INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
TRANSPORTATION FROM BEN GURION AIRPORT TO JERUSALEM:
You will be arriving at Ben-Gurion Airport, which is located about 15 minutes from Tel Aviv and 40 minutes from Jerusalem. Private taxis to Jerusalem can be found as you exit the arrivals terminal, and it will cost about $70 (at least NIS 250).

You can also take the Nesher Taxi, a shared door-to-door shuttle, for the set price of 58 Shekels ($17). It operates 24 hours a day and can be easily found to your right as you exit the arrivals terminal. Either way, ask the driver to drop you off at your designated hotel.
Rooms for speakers and participants will be booked by the IAS staff at one of the following hotels. Both hotels are near the Givat Ram Campus of The Hebrew University (about a 10-minute walk from the campus' pedestrian and western gate).

PAYMENT OF HOTEL COSTS: Please pay upon the end of your stay directly to the hotel. Those receiving travel support, please give/send your original receipt to the IAS staff (invited speakers) or Ms. Lena Hazanov (students / post-docs) for reimbursement.

The workshop will take place at the Maison de France of The Hebrew University, on the Edmond J. Safra Campus, Givat Ram (The Hebrew University has several campuses). The welcome reception will take place at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) in the Feldman building, the same campus. Please see Campus map below. If you arrive by taxi, it can take you directly to the Maison de France.
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW YOUR PASSPORT OR OTHER I.D. WHEN ENTERING THE CAMPUS THROUGH THE MAIN GATE, AND BAGS WILL BE CHECKED.
PARKING: Car permits will be provided to speakers only, at the Administration Parking lot located at the center of the bus terminal next to the main entrance of the campus (this lot is outside of the campus proper). Please bring the program with you to show you are speaking at the workshop.
Students who bring their own cars will have to park outside the campus; please try opposite the Joint Building or near the Botanical gardens.

REGISTRATION:Registration will take place on Sunday, February 19, from 13:00-14:15 at the Maison de France. Lunch will also be served there.
PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES:
Participants who have not prepaid the registration fee ($250, NIS 300) by credit card via the secured online payment page, will be requested to do so upon arrival at registration. Please note that we do not accept cash or checks. A receipt of payment will be issued during the school.

RECEPTION:You are cordially invited to an opening reception, on Sunday, February 19 at 18:00.
The reception will take place at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) in the Feldman building, Givat-Ram campus. A light supper will be served.
MEALS:Breakfast will be available at your hotel.
Lunch will be provided during the workshop. Please remember to bring the lunch-tickets with you (you will find them in your name tag holder which you will receive upon registration).Coffee, tea and cookies will be provided during the breaks.
CULTURAL EVENTS:Tuesday, February 21st: Afternoon tour of the old city of Jerusalem, ending with the Conference Dinner (Terrace Restaurant, Begin Heritage Center).
Payment of social events for family members will be done during the workshop by credit card (a secured site will be made available for that purpose). A receipt of payment will be issued. Please note that we don't accept cash or checks.
PRESENTATIONS:All the customary audio-visual equipment will be available, but PowerPoint presentations are highly recommended. We recommend that talk presenters email their presentations to Prof. Mehr at least a week prior to the workshop.
POSTERS:The poster session will take place on Monday evening, February 20 at 18:00 at the Maison de France lower lobby. Posters will be on display in the Maison de France lower lobby during the entire workshop.
Posters should meet the following criteria:
- Presenting authors should be identified by an * after their name.
- Contact information should include: the names of the authors and their affiliations, and the e-mail address of the corresponding author.
- The poster panels measure 70 cm in width and up to 150 cm in height.
- The organizers will provide pins for mounting the posters.
COMPUTER CONNECTIONS AND WORKING SPACE: Please bring your laptop with you, if you wish to use a computer during the workshop for your personal needs. WiFi will be available in the workshop location.
WEATHER: Jerusalem is about 800 meters (2,640 feet) above sea level, at geographic latitude 31 47' N and longitude 35 13' E. Temperatures in winter range between an average high of 12 Centigrade (54 Fahrenheit), and an average low of 4 C (39 F). Rain or snow are possible in February, so please pack accordingly.
